Small vase

Height 6,5 cm.
Weight 8 cm.
This is anagama fired small vase. Thrown on the wheel, out of the German clay with granite sand. Woodfired in Karmazinu Anagama for 114 hours in 1300 degrees C. Vase features a dramatic array of colors and textures- from semi-gloss to ash-speckled matte gray and brown. Melted granite pieces in the clay visible as dark spots.
This piece is thrown on the wheel stoneware, high fired to vitrification at 1300°C centigrade to eliminate porosity, thus allowing the pieces to be used in the oven, freezer and dishwasher but nevertheless can break from mishandle.
