Mug
Anagama Ceramic handmade mug, wood fired in Karmazinu Anagama kiln at 1300°C (2372°F) for 115 hours (5 days). This temperature is at the top of the firing range for ceramics and makes the clay strong and vitreous. Anagama firing features a dramatic array of colors and textures on surfaces - from semi-gloss to ash-speckled matte gray and brown.
The material basis of the bowl contains of the German clay. Excellent sample of Anagama reduction effects that creates rugged surface. Another side of the cup is gently covered with ashes, looks like softly colored.

Hand thrown stoneware, high fired for 115 hours to vitrification at 1300 degrees centigrade, impregnated with melted ashes of pine trees to eliminate porosity, thus allowing the pieces to be used in the oven, freezer and dishwasher.
